Greater Greenburgh All-Hazards Mitigation Plan

The Town of Greenburgh, through the Greenburgh Police Department, is leading the creation of a Comprehensive All-Hazards Emergency Management and Mitigation Plan for the Town and six Villages (Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Elmsford, Hastings-on-Hudson, Irvington and Tarrytown).

The creation of these plans will help the area to better prepare for and respond to hazard events and disasters, and allow the Town and participating Villages to be eligible for future mitigation funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This is an opportunity for the Greenburgh area to create a detailed plan that will address a variety of potential hazards that could affect our residents, businesses and other institutions. Project funding is available for both public and private property.

Further information about the planning process, including an online citizen’s hazard preparedness survey, is available at: http://www.greenburghny.com/documents/mitigation%20plan/mitigation.pdf
