Chief, I did a little research. Wallingford has a couple of newer Spartans that they have some problems with, but they are mostly related to the on-board computer system that is used to control everything by touch screen. I'll get some pictures and a better description of the system and its problems for you and drop them off at the station.

We have 2 Gladiators in Croton Falls. The bodies are Gowans Kinght, 149 is a 2000, and 148 is a 2005. both of these have four man cabs. So far the cabs and chassis have held up well, and there have been no major problems with the apparatus as a whole. I can try to get you some interior shots later if you'd like.

Millwood has two. E-247 is a 1998 or so with a 3D body. It looks awesome. Rescue body with a continuous roofline from windshield to tailboard. Myself and John Lembke designed E-248 but two ex chiefs that dont know the difference between fire and ice bamboozled the chairman of the commishioners into ordering a bucket of changes that left it with goofy headlights a chunky pump section and a split at the dunnage compartment, as well as difficult placement of hydraulic rescue tools (which may gave been somewhat mitigated since i moved south) It has a Sutphen body.

Chief, my vollie house has a 2005 Spartan Gladiator LFD 8-man cab with a raised 6 inch roof. We have seating for 8 (driver, officer SCBA, two forward crew SCBA, two rear facing SCBA and two fold-down standard seats). The cab has plenty of room to move in to get to a seat and is comfortable when sitting witha full crew. I'll send you pics to your e-mail when I get a chance from construction at Smeal.

Here's a pic.
