Budget proposes laying off one police officer and 5 other city employees. When asked how to get rate even lower, the city manger said that would require layoff more police officers, and firefighters, and close a firehouse. Link below

In the DPW we have people retiring next year and their positions wont be refilled. So we hope that will avoid any layoffs in our department.
