Boron And UHSS (Ultra High Strength Steel) is all the rage for automobile manufacturers looking to make their vehicles safer when they crash. Thanks Firegeezer for pointing out a blog that contains great information about the different models currently being produced that utilize Boron and UHSS within their frames.

Many hydraulic extrication tools do not cut through these newer materials and designs easily; sometimes not at all. The blogger "Smitty" is in the auto industry (click on the "About Me" link), and the first video on the site will show you that even relying on a Sawzall as a back-up to your jaws/cutter/combi tools, might not due the trick easily.
