Cause of Bengal Tiger fire in White Plains 'undetermined'; case closed

WHITE PLAINS — The cause of a fire at the Bengal Tiger restaurant that destroyed half a city block and sent numerous firefighters to the hospital "is undetermined," according to a final report released late Friday.

"Several factors for the exact cause of the fire have been ruled out, however the exact cause of the fire is undetermined at this time and no criminal activity has been proven," said the conclusion of a five-page police report on the July 7 blaze that gutted the 144 E. Post restaurant and six neighboring businesses.
