San Diego PD LODD-SWAT Officer Chris Wilson-10/28/10

SDPD K9/SWAT Officer Chris Wilson was killed in the Line of Duty this morning as the SDPD SWAT Team assisted the US Marshals Office in a parole compliance warrant service. After forcing entry into the apartment where the parole was and taking him into custody, the teams were preparing to force entry into an interior room when shots were fired through the dorr/wall at the team. Officer Wilson and his K9 partner "Monty" were struck, Officer Wilson wounded in the head. Officer Wilson was taken to Scripps Mercy Trauma Center, where he was pronounced approximately 3 a.m. PDT this morning. "Monty" was taken to an emergency vetenary hospital were at this time he is recovering from his wounds.

Thoughts and Prayers to the family of Officer Wilson, his friends and the Brothers and Sisters of the San Diego Police Department. May God watch over them during this tragic time.
