Nice try with the picture, but unless two people drove separate cars from Alaska to Beacon and parked them next to each other yesterday, that ain't it.

BEACON — A moose found running loose in the city streets of Beacon on Sunday, may have migrated northeast and toward the Town of East Fishkill. What's more, say New York State Department of Environment officials, he may be looking for love.

Out of curiousity - why were the police BOLO'ing for it...same thing for bears...why tie up emergency resources for animals that were here long before us??

Yes - it is different to see a moose or bear - they are NOT common here (bears ARE common in Dutchess BTW...they have established a very healthy population)

Just let them be...and enjoy their presence..

Officials: Moose remains elusive

BEACON — The moose that was spotted in southern Dutchess County this weekend is still on the loose, officials said.

I believe a Moose was struck and killed by a car on 684 last year. Not the first time one has been seen this far south. Now it it made it into Manhattan, THEN I'd be impressed.

Talk about a waste, was it really necessary for Beacon to call in officers on o/t and request assistance from other police agencies(with the exception of Encon)?

JetPhoto we could save a lot of money. Let us go down and take care of it, or the gangbangers in Beacon.
