Richard Albert White, Jr. "Ricky" was born in Dobbs Ferry to Richard A. and Antoinette White. He attended Dobbs Ferry Schools. Ricky was a Corrections Officer for the County of Westchester for two years and later joined the ranks of the Dobbs Ferry Police Dept where he has been a police officer for the past seven years. Ricky was recognized in 2005 by the New York State Senate for his outstanding achievements as a Police Officer. He held several certificates of appreciation and commendations between Dobbs Ferry and Greenburgh Police Departments. He was an active part of this community since he was a young boy. Ricky was a member of the Junior Fire Dept. in Dobbs Ferry and later became a member of Livingston Hose Co. of the Dobbs Ferry Volunteer Fire Dept His concern for others extended through all of Dobbs Ferry. He had an avid love of the outdoors, Lake George, motorcycles and mountain biking which led to his dream of owning a bicycle store, Endless Trail Bike Worx in Dobbs Ferry, came true. His sense of humor and smile were contagious. Rick will be greatly missed.
