The "Maroon Platoon" (a.k.a. Buchanan FD) will be up there for the festivities. Not quite sure what apparatus will going up yet, but i'm sure it will be E-161 if anything.

I've never gone up for this parade & i have been waiting for years to go, so i hope its a good time! I know alot of the young guys from my department are going and alot of other local depts are going too.

Any suggestions on good places to stay, go out (bars) or eat at???

I hear 585 and 26 others from WECO are taking the 2 months prior to the parade off work to clean the engine. Then they are going to vacuum seal it and flat-bed the engine to the parade. And yes, I am also insane (incredibly stupid) enough to do the same thing.
