Description Of Incident: Fire involving several trailers on the sanitation pier.

1531hrs- R-1 transmitting 10-75 for fire on the Sanitation pier.

All-Hands: E-40, 23, 54, 34; L-35, 4, 21FAST; R-1, Sq-288 B-9, 8

1535hrs- E-40 transmitting 10-70 (Water relay) for fire on the pier. Marine Co. 6 advising of a verbal for fire on the Sanitation Pier and enroute. B-9 rpts several trailers involved on the pier. S/C Engine and Truck and req. Con Ed electric.

S/C: E-8 (Water Relay)/L-2

1538hrs- 2nd Alarm transmitted. Marine Company #1 (10 min. ETA) and #6 (15 min. ETA) assigned.

2nd Alarm: E-1, 21, 3, 9/S-1; L-24; B-7 Safety, 1 RUL, Tac #1, Safety B/C, Rescue B/C, CTU, Field Com.

1543hrs- Div. 3 S/C Engine, Truck and B/C to respond to the Con Ed pier, just north of the sanitation pier and stage. S/C a 3rd Marine Unit. Fire has extended to the dock itself.

S/C: Marine 9 (1 hour, 15 min. ETA), E-59, L-22, B-X

1547hrs- Div. 3 transmitting 3rd Alarm, units to respon to the Con Ed Pier. NYPD Harbor escorting a fuel barge from the area.

3rd Alarm: E-65, 74, 39, 16; L-16, 25; B-4 Staging, 11, 58 Air Recon

1552hrs- Div. 3 req. E-9/Sat-1 to 57th St and West Side Highway. Command Post is on Pier 96.

1555hrs- Div. 3 rpts (2) L/S/O on the pier. Marine Co. 1 in operation knocking down fire at the end of the pier. D/W/H.

1558hrs- Div. 3 rpts trench cut in the pier completed and appears to have stopped fire spread. Fire is approx. (150) out on the pier from 12th Ave. Marine Co. and handlines knocking down the fire. D/W/H.

1601hrs- Div. 3 S/C extra Rescue, will be putting divers in the water to extinguish fire under the pier. Air Recon to use Command Channel 2 when in the air.

S/C: R-4

1606hrs- Div. 3 rpts spot fires on the Con Ed Pier (Exposure #4) being extinguished by Con Ed. CMD has (2) Engines and (2) Trucks assigned.

1610hrs- Car 4C rpts (1) Tower Ladder, (3) handlines and (1) Marine Company in operation. Searches on the pier itself are negative. Searches in the trailers involved will be delayed due to heavy fire on arrival. 3rd Alarm units north of W. 57th St. are operating on the Con Ed pier. (2) lines being stretched onto the Con Ed pier.

1621hrs- Div. 3 rpts all visible fire on the pier has been extinguished. Divers will be in the water for spot fires under the piers.

1638hrs- Car 4C rpts fire is P/W/H. S/C (2) extra trucks, Rescue Collapse 1, SOC Compressor unit to scene. Marine Co. 6 req. a small Marine Co. to scene. S/C Marine Co. 8
