Bridgeport diocese to honor firefighter for rescue

The New Canaan Fire Department will see another of its own honored for his quick thinking and life-saving efforts after he came upon an accident on Route 22 in North Castle, N.Y., last year.

At about 10:30 p.m. on September 16, 2009, New Canaan career Firefighter Al Bueti, who volunteers with the department in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., was heading home with fellow firefighter Mario Muccioli when they saw a line of traffic stopped ahead of them....
