Mutual Engine (Mount Kisco) 2010 Chief's Suburban

Mutual Engine Co. in Mount Kisco New York recently accepted delivery of their new Chief's truck, a black 2010 Suburban. Mutual is one of several companies in Mount Kisco…….In addition to Mutual Engine, Specialty Warning Systems has provided vehicles to Independent Fire Co. in 2009 and Union Hook and Ladder in 2008.

The 100% LED lighting package incorporates Whelen components including a Liberty FX lightbar, six head Dominator and two 700 series lights behind the front grille, M4s on each outer corner and dual Talons in the rear side cargo windows. In the rear, two Outer Edge LINZ6 units were installed above the cargo window, four LAW HideAways mounted in the taillights and an eight head Dominator Traffic Advisor installed in the upper cargo window. In the cargo compartment, two Strip Lites and two LINZ6s were incorporated to provide additional rearward warning for instances when the cargo door is raised, eliminating the lightbar and Outer Edge. Four Strip Lite compartment lights were installed on the face of the cargo door and inside the compartment to provide general utility lighting for night operations. Two PAR36 Super LED floodlights, mounted under the rear bumper, function as both ground lighting and supplemental reverse lighting.

A custom console insert contains the Whelen CenCom control head, department radio and County trunk radio. The OEM armrest was also modified to incorporate two cup holders. (The department graphics were added after conversion was complete)
