Duke is in the toughest bracket. Will be hard to get to the finial 4.

opponents and projected scores for the trip:

Delaware St. 42 DUKE 90

Stanford 64 DUKE 82

Michigan St. 73 DUKE 81 Redick career high 41 pts.

Oklahoma 66 DUKE 68 Sheldon Williams 10 blocks...already played at MSG in the Dreyfus classic and we kicked their tails...was there btw...

NCState gets to the final four by playing their hearts out like they have been doing for the past week...and they get the best of Kansas in OT and N. Carolina as McCants pukes his brains out due to stress...

Duke and NC State ... Wake and Illinois

my final four....two major matchups played out for the fourth time and the second time respectively on national tv

Who do you have Cuse being knocked out bye?

Michigan State...I think that GMac will have a performance such as he did in the reg season against OK State and UCONN and that Warrick will get into foul trouble playing against their motion/continuity offense...MSU's guards are quicker and they won more games in big sit's this year than the Cuse...don't get me wrong...Boeheim is a good coach but they are disappointed that they were sent to Austin instead of Chicago or even Syracuse...the complaint is valid though...howcome Illinois was put in the Chicago bracket...home court advantage (closest thing to it)...yet the only team in the Austin bracket with hca is UTEP and they ain't going nowhere...

BTW I am a Syracuse fan as well only saw them once this year though at the Jimmy V classic (MSG) against OK State and they faltered throughout the game...too many freshman on the bench...next year predicting McCroskey to be huge and Josh Pace to lead the Big East in Scoring...too bad they lost local hero Mark Pawlus (Christian Bros Academy-East Syracuse, NY) to the Dukies...and the other reason they will be good next year...no more BC (ACC first year 2005-2006)...

Biggest upset in this year's tourney...Louisiana-Lafayette over Pitino's Cardinals in the first round...no 16's, 15's, nor 14's will advance and only 1 13...overall there will be some upsets but the biggest will be in the regional quarters...

When I say saw them I mean live...however watched 15 of their games--UConn, ND, Pitt, WVirg, the important ones ya know...

A big unjustice has been committed in college park, MD.....i guess they can only blame themselves...despite sweeping duke, taking to the wire against UNC, and a SOS of 15...first NCAA tournement missed in 11 years. without quality performances by NC state and clemson, they would still be in.

uconn has been inconsistent this year compared to years past, a you have to win consistently 6 games in the big dance....they still have potential on the shoulders of Marcus Williams.

Syracuse has the potential....Warrick and G-Mac are great compliments, and programs will concentrate on their containment, leaving Josh Pace to make it happen. However their bracket puts them against mich st. and duke, potentially.

First #1 to fall: Washington, easily....both pacific and pittsburg have a chance to dominate them in the 2nd round, and the regional potentials are no prettier.

Pittsburgh is a team to watch, saw them at the garden in december. flying below the radar with a 9th seed, but have key wins against uconn and syracuse...however suffered some major losses in the mid season. (Bucknell, Gtown, St Johns) Need to kick it up a notch to be a factor, and the dont have an easy first round game to practice in.

Cincinnati is 21-1 vs. RPI 50+, but only 3-5 vs. "tournament league" teams...take a good look at picking this an an upset...Iowa has had less then mediocre conference results, but have beat tournement annuals such as louisville, Michigan St. and texas tech, showing they can play at this level.

Region to watch is definetly the austin region, with Duke, Oklahoma Kentucky, Syracuse, and Mich St.

Marquee Player to watch: J.J. Redick, Duke. averages 22ppg, and has unmeasurable tangibles to bring to the court. felt worn out and in a slump this time last year, and made drastic improvements in the off season and regular season to ensure his durability into the tourny. Best FT% in the history of the NCAA, and comes in handy when games are decided from the line.

Under the radar player to watch: Adam Morrison, Gonzaga...just a hair under 50% from the field, and averaging 18 points a game. (he also has diabetes, and must inject himself on the bench once in a while)

1st round Game not to miss: LSU vs. UAB...LSU's big men, physicality and dominance on the glass vs. UAB's speed and pressure.

2nd round game not to miss(pending wins): UConn vs. NC State. a healthy and on fire julius hodges vs. Charlie Villanueva, Josh Boone.

throw in a healthy Tony Bethel and NC State may be able to ride their huge momentum in the stretch.

Cinderella team: your guess is as good as mine...tough brackets this year....Creighton looks like a good potential, but with a 27-5 record and an 18 game winning streak can they even be a cinderella team?

So how many of us are still in the running to win it all? Seems like the person who knows nothing about college BBall might win all the money, the top teams are dropping like flys.
