Description Of Incident: Heavy fire in a single-story 40,000sq.' metals factory after a reported small explosion. Fire was fed by highly combustible materials. Aggressive interior attack launched by first on scene companies. Crews pushed into defensive exterior attack, bringing a 3rd Alarm assignment. Two other explosions occurred during the course of the fire. Fire placed under control at around 0930hrs. Crews on scene for overhaul into the afternoon. No injuries reported. The fire is still under investigation. Cause possibly spontaneous combustion. The fire also occurred around the same time as a high-rise fire in the city's North End bringing M/A.
