Man charged with weapons possession after he shoots himself

MIDDLETOWN Police are charging a Monticello man with weapons possession offenses after they learned that he shot himself in the upper leg Monday morning in the driveway of an abandoned building at the Middletown Psychiatric Center grounds.

When police responded to a report of a man being shot, they found Shayaa Robinson on the ground. He initially told police he did not know how he was shot and believed an unknown person shot him from a wooded area.
