New NIST Study on Crew Size and Arrival Time

Just read this in Firescue Interactive (Published by FDTN).:

U.S. Dept of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology complteted the first study that quantifies thecompletion time for tasks of 2,3, and 4 person crews. Study shows that 4 person crews had water on a fire 15 % faster then a 2 person crew and completed a primary search 30 % faster then a 2 person crew.

None of this should be all that shokcing but never seen a study that actually quantified the time before.

Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Review Board, 1990

Office of the Fire Marshal of Ontario,(Canada) 1993
