Staatsburg House Fire - 5/7/2010

The Staatsburg Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire about 4pm this afternoon. On arrival they found a working house fire with heavy fire. Responding units from Staatsburg were assited on scene by Hillside, Hyde Park, Rhinebeck and Roosevelt. Tivoli and Roosevelt covered Staatsburg Stations with a engine each and another Rhinebeck engine was on stand-by in their own quarters during the fire. Staatsburg was also assisted at the scene by NDP Paramedics, Hyde Park Police and Hyde Park Fire Police.

in picture # 2, the roof looks like there is some damage... was a vent hole cut there ? was this a burn through point ? it appears the structure burned through and started causing a collapse. What were the structural members ? Great stop !!

Does anyone have the break down of when the inital call went in, when the first piece of fire equipment (fire engine) responded, and when the first unit was on scene. As well as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd dispatches?

I think asking for dispatch times and a play by play is more than appropriate. We are accountable to both ourselves and the public. How does multiple dispatches to get the appropriate equipment/staffing responding to alarms reflect on the fire service?
