SOUTHEAST — Voters in Brewster and Southeast can weigh in tonight on whether their fire district should borrow up to $3.25 million to build a new substation on Milltown Road.

What apparatus was planned for this substation? I know Brewster's headquarters is cramped, were they looking to relocate some appararus here?

$3.25 million for a substation is a lot of money. Was new apparatus included in that figure? If it's just a substation, wouldn't a prefab metal structure (which have come a long way) serve the purpose at a lower cost?
