HYDE PARK — A early morning fire damaged a restaurant in the Town of Hyde Park today.

Around 12:27 a.m., Fairview Fire District firefighters responded to a blaze at Natalie’s Fried Chicken and Gyro House on Violet Avenue.

Chief Tory Gallante said an investigation by the Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division found an accidental electrical malfunction started the fire in a food preparation area.

He said the structure suffered severe fire, smoke and water damage.

The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire. There were no injuries.
