Outstanding Member Group Replaced By Awards Syste,

Members,

Before we switched to this new software, we had a "Member Of The Week" section, and that member was then placed into the "Outstanding Member" group.

We have decided to do away with that group in an effort to streamlize the several different membership groups we currently have. All members in that group will be switched to an existing or modified membership group yet to be decided. We felt that the "Outstanding Member" group would be too time consuming to update, so now Outstand Members are listed under their awards.

Recently, we have begun an "Awards" system. We are able to now award members for things like Outstanding Member, Knowledge Source, Forum Patron, Excellent Photographer, and some more that are currently being developed.

These awards show up in a members post, in the left hand info pane. They also are viewable in the members profile, and explains what each award is for. We also have a dedicated award section, which you can access from the top menu.

The reputation system will compliment the awards system.

Please, send me or any staff member your suggestions for members deserving awards, and also keep checking back as we improve the variety of awards and make the icons look a bit better!
