Personally I welcome a new Taurus based unit. With the twin turbo V6 and an AWD option this will be ideal for departments in our area for inclimate weather instead of breaking out the SUVs. I wonder if they stretched it at all from the standard Taurus. Ford has done a great deal of work to make the Taurus Police user friendly and it is a solid vehicle. I hope it does the name Police Interceptor justice. It is going to be interesting to see how these handle since its such a radical transition from the classic Panther platform CVPI. I wonder if they will really be able to stop production of the most successful patrol car in history.
