Newtown CT Police Department - 2009 Crown Vic Patrol Vehicles

6 posts in this topic

Specialty Warning Systems recently completed multiple 2009 Crown Victoria patrol vehicles, for the Newtown CT Police Department.

The audible & visual warning system is all Whelen with a Liberty LED lightbar, 400 Super LEDs behind the grille, headlight flasher, Super LED Mirror Beams and LAW HideAway LEDs in the front corner lights. Four additional LAW HideAway LEDs in the rear tail and reverse lights, a rear deck CHMSL deck light and a 295HFSA5 with 100 watt siren speaker, complete the overall system.

The center console is a Havis Angled Series with a side mounted Panasonic CF30 Toughbook laptop, dual cup holders, armrest, power outlets and side mounted MagLite.

The prisoner partition is a single prisoner model by Pro Gard, with window armor, ABS transport seat and floorpan.. The reflective graphics package was adopted fleetwide several years ago and is applied to every marked NPD patrol vehicle.

Specialty Warning Systems has enjoyed a long working relationship with the Newtown Police Department, providing all their upfitting, service and vehicle conversions and looks forward to working with them for many years to come. We appreciate their confidence in us and thank them for their ongoing support.

Never seen that single rear prisoner seat - what goes on the other side of the rear seat?

Awesome looking car. I would imagine that a prisoner and a police officer will be in the back??? Best of luck with it!

Often, this is done for officer comfort. Having a half cage allows the drivers seat to be not as squished up front.
