Found on Ebay - 1985 Firehouse Magazine: "Mt. Vernon: Fortress of fire protection"

I dont know if this is the right forum for this? But i found this Firehouse magazine from 1985 for sale on ebay. On the cover it reads "Mt. Vernon: Fortress of Fire Protection."

I was just curious if anyone knows what this is reffering to?

Too funny E58! Thats exactly why i was looking on ebay in the 1st place. I have almost every issue of Firehouse from the late 90's til now. Id hate to just throw them away. I was just going to put together a group of 10 or so and see if i could get $20 or so for the whole bunch. But $12 for one is a nice profit lol.

It was an article about the fire protection at George Washington's home in VA. at that time. They had... or have their own fire department and work closely - or did with Fairfax Co.
