IN NEW JERSEY-DUI DRIVER KILLS EMERGENCY PATROL OFFICER:

A New Jersey Emergency Service Patrol Operator was killed last Monday while trying to help a stranded driver. Operator Joseph Kealey was standing on the shoulder of I-76 East in Bellmawr when a white "DUI driven" Dodge Magnum careened off the roadway and into the man and his truck.

The DUI civilian, 28-year-old Alyson Amour, hit Kealey and rear-ended his DOT service truck. We have photos on our home page.

Amour was charged with driving while intoxicated and several motor-vehicle violations.

In May 2006, she was among more than 100 people arrested when undercover officers posed as drug dealers in nearby north Camden. Amour was charged at that time with loitering for the purpose to commit a controlled dangerous substance offense.
