Whats the big deal most hydrants are owned by the water dept not the fire dept to start. The MTA has been renting out ad space on buses, bus stops, subway stations, and so on for years and I don't hear anyone complaining even though we just spent how much to bail out the MTA?????

If some one wants to pay to put an ad up great but I hope the money gos to make sure that the hydrant works.
