Wow, ive seen these events before, but never really looked into them. As Seth said, i really like the idea that the proceeds go to cancer research.

Ill spread the word at my firehouse. Unfortunately, im (skier) oos with a shoulder injury and another one of my buddies (snowboarder) is recovering from a serious motorcycle accident. Even if we cant get a team together, id love to attend and show my support for my fellow frefighters/ems'ers. Id also love to give a donation of some sort.

We've been joking that this season while my wife and non-injured friends will be enjoying the slopes, myself, my other injured buddy and my non-skiing buddies will enjoy "lodging" lol. As long as theres a nice lodge, fireplace and bar (for hot chocolate of course ), im good to go!

In all seriousness, this event sounds like a lot of fun and more importantly, for a great cause. Good luck to all teams who enter.

That's ok, a friend of mine called it what it is--- Those of us who for whatever reason, don't ski the slopes? they say we ski "Mahogany Ridge"!!!
