Anyone famliliar with an FDNY firehouse within walking distance of Grand Central? Headed down tommorow and my 7 year old is dying to see a "real life NYC firehouse"..LOL

I think R1 (Rescue 1) is on 43rd, but I am not sure of the cross street, Great group of people.

Engine 21 - E40 st between 2nd and 3rd Aves

Engine 8/Ladder 2/Battalion 8 - E51 st between 3rd and Lexington Aves (a bit further but only 1 stop away on the 6 train)
