Initial Summary:    Firefighter Mercurio responded to a vehicle fire late at night on 02/17/2005.  Following the incident he returned home early in the morning of 02/18/2005.  When he failed to show up at work later in the day, the department sent someone to his house to check on him and found the residence secured.  Entry was made into the structure with assistance of Mercurio?s fiancé where he was found deceased in his bed (cardiac related).
