Pierce County WA-2 Officers Down 12/21/09

Description: A Deputy and Sergeant were ambushed after being allowed into a house to investigate a domestic violence call. 2 brothers had called requesting assistance in removing an unwanted guest when 1 of the brothers opened fire from a 2nd floor landing. Both Deputies were flown to trauma centers. The gunman was shot dead when the Sergeant and Deputy returned fire.

This is the same County where 4 officers of the Lakewood, Wa Police Force were gunned down just last month.
