Hey, EMSer, are you surprised that no one has commented on this? (I'm not). My sister lives in the area where this happened and told me about it a while ago. I suppose if this were to have involved a volunteer responding to a call instead of a cop just trying to make it to where ever for no official reason, there would be pages of comments on this. Eventually, they will figure out that just because they represent the law, they are not above the law.

So what are you getting at here???? I live 2 miles from the crash site and know people who knew the victims of the crash. You trying to say that just because it was a cop there are no comments??? Case and point: The cops were traveling down Route 1 which has a speed limit of 40 MPH. The cops were coming back from a brawl in West Haven on a MA request for help, one going 90+ MPH, the other around 70+ MPH. The car with the two kids, who might have been impaired after coming from a party, took a left hand turn onto another street, which the light for the left turning lane is blinking red. The cop doing 90 MPH T-bones the other car, the girl was ejected from the car and the guy was killed instantly. The girl later died at the hospital from her injuries.

So what is their to comment on??????

BTW, Officer Anderson was terminated by the Milford Police Department the other day, so no he's not above the law! Also looks like the other officer is on the way out too.

sorry 50-65 if there's not much to talk about with this one. The officers screwed up, cost two people their lives and are facing the consequences. Now more lives are ruined and you think this about volley vs paid or PD vs the world? Get over it.

I find your reply compltely unrelated to this situation, and a dig at this forum and law enforcement officers as a whole. I don't exactly understand your post. Who is "they"? Sounds like you are using this situation to point out your distaste for LEO's, which in this situation, is dispicable.

I'm not condoning this officers actions at all, as 90+ MPH is in a majority of places in the northeast excessive, but there are times where gaps in coverage or ONA's sometimes get the officers going a little faster then they should.

This officer was charged with manslaughter, so it's obvious "they" aren't above the law. Two innocent people lost their lives.

This is a tragedy for all involved.

Honestly, I think no one has any comments because they do not know what to say. How do you respond to this type of event in any meaningful manner other than to say hope it never happened or happens again and that we need to learn from past mistakes?
