The Westchester Medical Center’s financial problems have been in the news for quite some time. Many

uninformed people believe it “has turned the corner”. The truth is; that to close the budget gap and

decrease losses, many of the programs critical to Emergency Services in Westchester and throughout the

Hudson Valley Region are in danger of cutbacks or elimination. The Trauma Center, The Burn Center,

The Stat Flight Helicopter Program are just a few of the services critical to fulfill our missions as

Emergency Providers. The future of the Hospital itself is in danger.

An ambitious funding plan designed to support and sustain the Medical Center and its Mission has been

developed. This plan’s approval is dependent on widespread support and strong advocates.

You are invited to attend a Briefing specifically designed to inform the Region’s Emergency Service

Providers of the details of this plan and the need for your support. Representatives from the Hospital

Management Team, The Hospital Board, and The County will brief attendees and answer questions.
