It is with regret that the Office of Fire Prevention and Control announces the death of Firefighter

Walter Hessling of the Dix Hills Fire Department in Suffolk County on November 27, 2009.

Firefighter Hessling responded to a call on November 21, 2009 at 10:33 hours and suffered a stroke at

15:54. Firefighter Hessling died on November 27, 2009.

Arrangements are pending.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Firefighter Hesslings’ family and the members of the Dix Hills

Fire Department.
