What is the reason for the double axle on the tractor? I haven't seen that before on a TDA... what are the advantages and disadvantages of this? Beautiful truck BTW...

the weight of the water way is not the reason. The reason is so the unit can comply with the low weight restrictions out there. the same rig here can be single axle.
