2 posts in this topic

"The Lake Mohegan Fire District has proudly taken delivery of a new chief's car designated as Car 2263. This 2009 Ford Expedition was purchased to replace the 2001 Chevrolet Suburban chief's car, which has currently been running as Car 2263. The new vehicle will be designated to 2nd Asst. Chief Adam Cerrato and will run through his term of Chief for the next 6 years. This new chief's car was designed by Chief Cerrato with numerous new safety features in mind. The new Ford Expedition has new features including a remote control Command Light spotlight that has been mounted above the roof lightbar to add additional lighting to scenes. With new safety features evolving, this vehicle is also the first chief's car in the Mohegan FD fleet to have red reflective striping in the shape of a trapezoid on the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle also has more defined warning lights in the front grill and also more lights added in rear of the vehicle, as compared to the other chief's cars. The new vehicle also has a flashlight and a set of irons (halligan and flat-head axe) mounted in the rear truck area inside a rear cargo cage, that also has LED work lights installed in the inside of the trunk hatch. The standard center console has been replaced with a radio console to hold all the radios that will be needed. Specialty Warning Systems in Danbury, Ct was awarded the contract to put the lettering and markings plus install the lights in this new vehicle and equipment"
