Troopers launching Thruway Pumpkin Patrols

TARRYTOWN (AP) - The state police Thruway detail is launching its annual "Pumpkin Patrols" aimed at preventing dangerous Halloween pranks along the 641-mile highway system.

Haha, this is great. Good for them though cause I would be PISSED if a pumpkin went through my windshield while driving on the highway. The best part of this post is the comment the guy left on the actual article, lol. :D

This has actually happened in the recent past, in Westchester. In a few of the incidents, people were either seriously injured or killed. When I lived up there, I would not drive on any roadway where I needed to go underneath a bridge on Halloween after some events I witnessed.

Word...a pumpkin dropped from an overpass onto a car at highway speeds is no joke.

I was talkin with one of the guys I work with, he was saying that even a frozen turkey was dropped onto an SUV, knocking the driver out and causing a huge accident. Crazy stuff. :blink:
