Firefighters picket Newburgh councilwoman's store

Nearly 40 members of the Newburgh firefighters union picketed Councilwoman Christine Bello's flower shop Wednesday morning after a contentious budget meeting the night before.

Union President Ed Diller and Vice President Sammy Contes said they singled out Bello because she walked out of Tuesday's meeting when the union offered to defer some compensation to help out the city. They marched in circles in front of Chris-Dian Florist on Broadway, carrying signs and a cutout of a wooden coffin on a pole....
