Scarsdale FD UHF 4 watt Freq. Listed on FCC site

Previously discussed on the forum back in July 2008 was the grant Scarsdale FD received to switch to UHF portables.

Now listed on the FCC site : 458.9275 mgz 4 watt radios.

Perhaps a member of SFD could add some information to the thread reguarding progress now that the actual radios are on hand in Scarsdale.

Below is a quote from Remember585 as to a possible plan for the future communications on the fireground.

I think their plan is to use UHF portables, that go back into the rigs (as needed) via a pyramid or other repeater, back out on their VHF freq. This is what I remember last I spoke to one of them about this (months ago).
