FDNY engines responding to EMS calls

Just out of curiosity, what are the protocols for an engine to respond to EMS runs....Im a cop in the Bronx, sometimes a truck shows up...sometimes not......

They respond on EMS Segments 1-3. There are a few exceptions.

There are also some locations with CFR holds.

As well if NYPD puts the job in for chest pain, but then EMS talks to the person and finds they are under 35yo then it's downgraded and no CFR.

On Cardiac Arrest and Choking they always have to respond.

Also they can be special called for lifts and Forceable Entry
