approximately 10:38 am Shelton fire companies 1,3,and 5 were dispatched to 96 kings highway for the report of a structure fire. second set of tones stated police were now o/s reporting house is fully involved. first in engines reporting heavy fire in a 2.5 story wood frame, family evacuated. engine 52, 35, and 53 supplied water lines, 2 inch and 3 quarter lines and a two and a half were used. there was heavy fire on the b side of the structure of ground level and 2nd story was completely involved. main body of fire was knocked down in about ten minutes. extensive overhaul was needed as fire was in many pockets and walls. good job by all as this was a tough fire to contain.
