New Haven Firefighter Files Bias Suit

A New Haven firefighter has filed a federal bias suit, claiming that the practices used for promotion in a 2003 promotional exam are unfair. This is the same promotional exam in which the US Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the New Haven 20.

Just to let you know, sdome iformation from the CTFire forum, one member stated that the scorring weight is 60% on the written and 40% on the oral exam, which is negotiated between the City and the Union. If there are any changes, it has to be negotiated between the Union and the city, otherwise if he was to win this suit, the neogiated agreement would be thrown out. He only scored well on the oral exam.
