Teen Buried by Indonesia Quake Rescued 40 Hours Later

PADANG, Indonesia — Rescuers pulled a teenager alive from her collapsed college about 40 hours after a powerful earthquake devastated western Indonesia, while elsewhere they heard cries for help Friday from people trapped under a collapsed hotel.

Fortunately we're not in an earthquake prone (at least severe ones) area but this ought to get the SAR/tech rescue folks thinking about long term operations and how they would deal with a situation like this - even on a smaller scale.
