Beekman Fire honors member for 70 years of service

Some facts touched on:

1) One of the charter members of the Beekman Fire Protectives which was formed in 1937, joined in 1939 and remains active to this day

2) Fire Chief for 21 consecutive years from 1949-1970

3) Serves on board of fire commissioners, today serves as chairman. First elected in 1970.

4) Dutchess County, as well as the town of beekman, proclaimed 9/14 as Kenneth Mallen day

5) The board of fire commissioners dedicated the addition at the fire station to Mr Mallen.
