Move Over” Law Goes Into Effect Oct. 1

EAST HARTFORD - Emergency personnel and highway workers gathered at the side of I-84 in East Hartford on Wednesday to raise awareness of a new law that will require Connecticut residents to slow down and if possible "Move Over" one lane when they see flashing lights on the side of the road....

Under the law, a motorist will need to move over for ambulances, fire trucks, police cars, even a tow trucks pulled to the side of the road. Passed by the Connecticut General Assembly and signed by Governor Jodi Rell back in June, the law will go into effect on October 1st....
