I love this statement!

The following paragraphs came out of an LA City FD press release, and I think they are pretty much dead-on and self-explanatory. I wish some dept's around here would think this way. The lines that I like the most are in bold:

The number of responses listed above are the total for the Fire Station, and included any and all Fire Department units assigned to that particular station.  

Which often brings the question...  

Are we in some way proud of these numbers? Not really. In many cases, Los Angeles Fire Department responses could have been prevented by safe behavior and a healthy lifestyle. In each and every response however, no matter the reason, we are proud of the *quality* care and service we are able to provide.
