Metro-North to try service to football games

By Ken Valenti • klvalent@lohud.com • September 16, 2009

Former Jets wide receiver Wayne Chrebet will help Metro-North Railroad kick off its new experimental service to Jets and Giants games at the Meadowlands when he greets fans at the Larchmont train station Sunday morning, the railroad announced.

Chrebet will appear with Metro-North President Howard Permut at the station about 9:30 a.m., then will take the 10:18 train from the station to New Jersey.

The fans riding that day will be pioneers, trying out the new service that runs from New Haven, Conn., with stops in Rye and Larchmont.

Doesn't say anything about a return trip, lol!

Also, what about a Bee-Line express coach to the Jets game from a large parking lot, like Yonkers raceway?
