Volunteer firefighter charged with arson

MONTICELLO - Detectives from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua Hunt, 24, of Glen Spey, Wednesday, for two counts of second degree.

Sheriff’s Deputies had investigated two suspicious fires that occurred at the Mountain View Resort on High Road in Glen Spey in August.

The first fire occurred August 7, at 10:30pm in a carriage house on the property. Although the structure was unoccupied at the time, firefighter Roger Bisland of the Lumberland Fire Department was injured at the scene.
