MONTGOMERY - A caustic chemical leaked Thursday evening at the UPS freight warehouse at 645 Neelytown Road in the Town of Montgomery, authorities said, causing employees to be evacuated while firefighters and Orange County Haz-Mat crews contained the spill.

A plume of acrid white smoke could be seen from the highway.
