Ardsley- New Ladder 50 Bid Awarded

Ardsley will be going out to bid soon for a new Quint to replace the 1988 Hahn/LTI 75' RM 1250GPM/400 Ladder 50 (formerly Quint 1). I believe they are looking to upgrade to a 100' RM stick, and a lot of manufacturers will be throwing their hats into the ring, especially some that are willing to take some hits to gain edge in the Westchester market. Can't wait to see who wins the bid, if it is approved by the village board.

The Ardsley Village board has approved this to go out to bid. Don't know the status of the bidding process. East-West assisted in writing the specs.

The bid has been awarded to Smeal Fire Appararatus for a 100' RM aerial Quint w/ 2000 GPM pump on a Spartan chasis. Delivery is expected January of 2011.
