Serious Injury Auto Accident - Rte 9 at Merritt Blvd. 6/26/09

This accident occurred on Rte 9 - southbound at Merritt Blvd when a Ford Explorer was struck in the drivers door by a full size Chevy pick-up. The female driver of the Explorer appeared to suffer a serious head injury. She was treated by Rombout Firefighters and Mobile Life Medics and transported to St. Francis Trauma- Code 99. The accident also produced several other patients all I believe with minor injuries. I had a delayed response due to a lack of motivation.....

So....... all of the Rombout boys have on their turnouts (with reflective striping) and the new reflective vests. A few feet away stand law enforcement in their navy blue (hard to see at night) uniforms, one out of four has on a reflective vest from what I can tell. Some day we really ought to all get on the same page........not criticizing, I'm just sayin'.............
