Financing delays new building for Congers-Valley Cottage ambulance corps

The Congers-Valley Cottage Volunteer Ambulance Corps' plan to demolish its aging headquarters and replace it with a new building is being stalled because of a delay in funding for the makeover.

The bank that was expected to provide money for the $3.5 million project is taking more time than expected to approve the loan, said ambulance corps spokesman Brian Lynch.
